Feed at a rate of 1.5 to 2.0% of horse’s bodyweight to reach desired body condition, supplemental feed may be added for high performance horses based on work load, current body condition, level of activity, and age. Divide daily ration into a minimum of two feedings. Feed with free choice good quality grass and/or feed on pasture. Provide an abundant, fresh supply of water.
